Monday, July 9, 2012 At 07:52 hrs, R65 and SQ65 were dispatched assisting CO10 (Smithfield) for a reported multiple vehicle collision in the area of PA Ave (SR26) and Pike Street. E10-1 arrived with a three vehicle colllision with all parties self extricated. R65 arrived assisting 10 crew with fluid containment from involved vehicles. SQ65 arrived and provided manpower assisting with same functions and debris clean up.

At 08:20 hrs, while units were operating at the Pike St MVA, a second MVA was reported at the intersection of MT Vernon Ave and S 10th ST in Smithfield Twp. R65 arrived at the scene with a two vehicle collision, with a mini van off the roadway into a drainage ditch and a passenger vehicle in the intersection. All parties self extricated with no reported injuries. R65 was then joined by E10-1 after clearing their first incident. R65 and E10-1 provided traffic control and debris clean up of the second scene. PSP remained on scene until a damaged STOP sign was replaced.

At 21:18 hrs, Dept 65 and E10 (Smithfield) were dispatched for a reported vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Portstown Park off Penn St (Huntingdon Borough).  HPD units arrived at the scene reported no fire and an over heating passenger vehicle. E65 (Lt 65-5) responded to the scene non emergency to investigate, remaining units were held at station. E65 confirmed report of HPD and placed the box back into service at 21:29 hrs.
